Ministry of Industry and Trade investigates anti-dumping on steel imported from India and China

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Decision No. 1985 on investigation into the application of anti-dumping measures on some hot-rolled steel (HRC) products originating from the Republic of India and the People's Republic of China.

The decision was signed by Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan on July 26. Accordingly, hot rolled steel products (HRC) originating from the Republic of India and the People's Republic of China are classified according to the HS codes 7208.25.00, 7208.26.00, 7208.27.19, 7208.27.99, 7208.36.00, 7208.37.00, 7208.38.00, 7208.39.20, 7208.39.40, 7208.39.90, 7208.51.00, 7208.52.00, 7208.53.00, 7208.54.90, 7208.90.90, 7211.14.15, 7211.14.16, 7211.14.19, 7211.19.13, 7211.19.19, 7211.90.12, 7211.90.19, 7224.30.90, 7225.99.90, 7226.91.10, 7226.91.90, 7226.99.19, 7226.99.99 (case code AD20).

According to this decision, the order and procedures for investigation are implemented in accordance with Vietnam's law on trade defense and take effect from the date of signing, July 26.

Confirming with Tuoi Tre Online , a leader of the Trade Defense Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that this investigation decision had been issued.

Previously on March 19, the Trade Defense Department, the investigating agency, said it had received documents from companies representing the domestic manufacturing industry, requesting an investigation into the application of anti-dumping measures on hot-rolled steel products from India and China.

On April 1, the investigation agency requested to supplement the content of the above investigation request file. On April 26, the requesting party submitted additional information and documents as notified by the investigation agency.

On May 13, the investigation agency requested to supplement some contents of the investigation request file for the second time. On May 31, the requesting party submitted additional information and documents as requested.

Then on July 14, the investigation agency confirmed that the dossier was complete and valid according to the provisions of the law on trade defense.
