Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of BSR ; Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - General Director of BSR; Board of Directors, Factory Board of Directors, and leaders of the Company's functional departments. On Somvanchaleun's side, there were Mr. Angtaen Sydavong - General Director; Mr. Santha Sydavong - Deputy General Director and representatives of the Company's branches, departments/functional departments.
At the meeting, Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - Chairman of BSR's Board of Directors expressed his honor to welcome the Somvanchaleun delegation from Laos. Mr. Duong affirmed that the cooperation between BSR and Somvanchaleun will open up many opportunities in ensuring fuel supply to the Lao market and contributing to expanding BSR's market. Through the discussion, the Chairman of BSR's Board of Directors welcomed the cooperation of the two units and committed that BSR will conduct research and propose the best solutions to ensure the cooperation in supplying BSR's gasoline to the Lao market to ensure safety, stability and efficiency for both parties.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged and discussed issues such as the possibility of cooperation in consuming products produced by Dung Quat Oil Refinery; product quality and procedures for Somvanchaleun to receive goods by road at Dung Quat Oil Refinery and some related issues.
Overview of the working session between the two units
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - General Director of BSR emphasized: “BSR always attaches importance to the Lao market and identifies this as a strategic direction, in line with the policy of comprehensive and extensive international integration in the spirit of Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW of the Politburo on strategic orientation for international integration in the new situation. The cooperation with Somvanchaleun Company demonstrates BSR's commitment to accompany and bring BSR's quality products to the Lao market in a stable, sustainable and effective manner. This cooperation not only brings practical benefits to both businesses, but also contributes to strengthening and developing the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos”.
Somvanchaleun Company also expressed its hope that BSR will continue to support and coordinate in transporting other products besides traditional petroleum, such as Jet A1 aviation fuel and LPG for export to the Lao market. This will not only help expand BSR's consumption market, but also contribute to ensuring a stable fuel supply for Laos, towards the common goal of national energy security.
The cooperation between BSR and Somvanchaleun Company not only opens up opportunities to bring high-quality Vietnamese petroleum, LPG and petrochemical products to the Lao market, but also contributes to strengthening the friendship and close cooperation between the two enterprises and the two countries. This is a practical step to ensure a stable energy supply, effectively serving the socio -economic development of Laos. At the same time, this cooperation also affirms the prestige, capacity and increasingly solid position of BSR in the regional market.
