According to Phan Van Lo, Chairman of the Trade Union of Billion Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd., the "Trade Union Meal" program at the two companies provided more than 3,000 meals for union members and employees; it took place over two days, July 30th and 31st, serving employees in shifts. Each meal, valued at 60,000 VND, was jointly provided by the company and the trade union.
According to Mr. Lọ, the average daily meal cost at the company is 25,000 VND per person; the company organizes a "Trade Union Meal" once a year; and on holidays, each meal portion is supplemented with extra food.

Feeling very satisfied after the meal, Ms. Vang Thi Enh, a worker at the dyeing factory of BaiKai Industry Vietnam Co., Ltd., shared that she has been working at the company for a year and a half and has participated in the Union Meal twice. "Today's meal was more special than usual, and I really appreciate that this activity is organized annually," she said.
Ms. Tran Quynh Nhu has worked at BaiKai Industry Vietnam Co., Ltd. for 5 years and participated in 2 union lunch events. Ms. Nhu said: “The company organizing this meal shows its concern for the workers. I was very enthusiastic to participate in both events. Today, I even invited many colleagues to come and have lunch with us.”
According to the Provincial Labor Union, this year's "Trade Union Meal" is being organized to celebrate major holidays and the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union. This demonstrates the concern of Party committees, government agencies, and business owners for improving the quality of meals, ensuring food safety, and protecting the occupational health of workers. It also effectively addresses the need to care for the material and spiritual well-being of union members and workers, aiming towards building long-term welfare programs.
According to Duong Dai Loc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union: "The union meal is not just about providing a higher-than-normal meal, but also about demonstrating warmth, sharing, and companionship with union members and workers by businesses and trade union organizations."
This time, the Provincial Labor Union chose to organize "Trade Union Meals" at 6 locations across the province, involving 8 businesses; and presented 300 gift packages (each worth 1 million VND) to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
