In early 2023, the "Connecting with Love" volunteer group, founded by Bui Anh Ngoc, began operating. The group has over 40 members and collaborators, all students currently studying or residing in the area. To raise funds for their charitable activities, the group organized five fundraising sales events, totaling over 50 million VND.

With the support of generous donors, the "Connecting with Love" group organized the "Full Moon with You" program in 2023 and 2024 for orphaned children. Through this program, the group distributed 70 gifts to children at the Vinh Phuoc An Tu orphanage ( Bac Lieu ward), 20 gifts to children in difficult circumstances, and 15 scholarships to students at Ganh Hao High School. The group also organized two programs, "Tet, Oh Tet!", distributing 41 gifts to disadvantaged households in 2024 and 2025; and the "Summer Fragrance" program, distributing 32 gifts to disadvantaged households and 15 scholarships to students at Chu Van An Primary School...

Not only excelling in social welfare activities aimed at educating local youth about patriotic traditions and national pride, Anh Ngoc proactively connected and coordinated with the "Nang Yeu Thuong" group, the Bac Lieu Student Union - Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Dong Hai District Women's Union, and the Ganh Hao Border Guard Station to organize the "March Border Month - Strengthening the Bond Between the Military and the People" program.
Through this activity, young people from various groups and associations had the opportunity to meet and interact with the forces on duty guarding the maritime border at Ganh Hao Border Guard Station. Through this, they gained a better understanding of the silent contributions of those wearing the green uniform; and strengthened their love for their homeland and country.

Anh Ngoc shared: "Many people say that when you're young, you should focus on studying hard, and others will take care of community work. But I think participating in community activities and volunteer work is also a way of learning, learning how to share, compassion, and cultivating a kind heart to perfect your character while still in school. This helps the younger generation develop a correct understanding of life and a sense of responsibility towards themselves, their loved ones, and the community and society."
At the end of June 2025, Bui Anh Ngoc received news of her acceptance to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. On her journey far from home in pursuit of knowledge, Anh Ngoc still harbored concerns about unfinished community service activities.

While waiting for the school year to begin, which also coincided with the merger of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces, Anh Ngoc and her fellow youth union members in Ganh Hao commune enthusiastically participated with the community digital technology team in supporting the operation of the two-tiered local government model. In addition, the group also participated in cleaning up roads and maintaining the memorial monument for fallen heroes, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere for the people of Ganh Hao commune to welcome this major provincial event.
Bui Anh Ngoc shared: “In mid-October, I received information from the Ca Mau Provincial Youth Union that I had been selected as one of the Outstanding Young Faces of Ca Mau Province in 2025. The awards ceremony took place before the First Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, as part of the program 'Ca Mau Youth Towards the Congress'. Due to my studies, I couldn't attend the ceremony, but I always keep up-to-date on the provincial congress and the activities of young people in the province. Although I couldn't participate directly, I feel excited and proud of the meaningful and practical activities of the province's youth in this new era.”

Anh Ngoc said that after starting university, she continued to run the "Connecting with Love" volunteer group. Once her studies are settled, she will continue to participate in community groups, connecting many kind-hearted volunteers to organize meaningful activities for the community.
Currently, Bui Anh Ngoc also serves as the Secretary of the Youth Union Branch K25, Class DT4, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. Wearing the green volunteer uniform, young Bui Anh Ngoc will have many more opportunities to contribute to the community and spread positive energy to those around her.
