BUV's scholarship policy is also part of a series of activities aimed at this mission. Among them, the UK Ambassador's Scholarship, the Chancellor's Scholarship, and the Sir Graeme Davies Scholarship are the most prestigious and highly competitive, with over a thousand applicants. The university evaluates outstanding candidates based on criteria such as academic achievement, leadership potential, community contributions, and talent.
"These scholarships provide Vietnamese students with the opportunity to access high-quality international degree programs," he affirmed.
After becoming the winner of the 2023 Cooperation Scholarship, Do Linh Giang - a student from Kim Lien High School ( Hanoi ) - shared that her journey of "hunting" for scholarships was not simply a matter of applying. It was a journey of growth and stepping out of her comfort zone.

Previously, Linh Giang was an introvert and shy. In 10th grade, she learned about BUV, researched scholarship winners, and realized that senior students were very active and participated in many extracurricular activities.
At this point, the female student told herself she would find a way to change herself into a better version, worthy of this scholarship. Giang independently sought internships and freelance work in her favorite field - Marketing - throughout her three years of high school, participated in social activities, and engaged in " diplomatic " work such as volunteer trips to Viet Duc Hospital and the National Children's Hospital to become more confident.
"I believe that 'If you never try, you'll never know,' meaning that if you don't try, you'll never know your limits," Linh Giang emphasized.

In addition, BUV offers the Lion Heart Scholarship for students from disadvantaged backgrounds who strive to overcome adversity and remain steadfast in their dreams and passions. Through this, the university aims to provide equal educational opportunities to all Vietnamese students, regardless of their circumstances.
Upon learning about this program, Ms. Vu Thi Dung, the founder of the Aspiration Fund, affirmed that these scholarships have a greater significance than just financial support. Because giving one student an opportunity also instills confidence in younger students, giving them hope and motivation to move forward and strive for success.

The winner of the 2023 Lion Heart Scholarship, Vi Thanh Nhat, is a Thai ethnic minority student at Nghe An Ethnic Boarding High School. Born and raised in a disadvantaged mountainous district, she was diagnosed with Thalassemia at the age of four. Since then, while other children go to school and play, she has to go to the hospital once a month for 10 days each time.
However, Thanh Nhat did not feel discouraged by the challenges he had to overcome. The male student still tried to attend school on days when he wasn't receiving treatment or studied on his own at the hospital. He strived to achieve the title of excellent student throughout his high school years and won prizes in competitions such as first prize in Informatics at the school level; second prize in Science and Technology project at the school level. Simultaneously, Nhat participated in the provincial Informatics competition for gifted students.
A male student from Nghe An province was happy and found hope when he learned about BUV in 10th grade. He was determined to work hard to become a student at the university. As a result, Nhat achieved his dream by becoming the champion of the Lion Heart Scholarship.
"I want to inspire young people and children in my hometown, instilling more faith and love for life in everyone so that we can all strive to study, improve our quality of life, and alleviate poverty," Thanh Nhat shared.
