Ca Mau approves the Digital Education Development Project.

GD&TĐ - Ca Mau province aims to have 100% of schools implementing and using an integrated digital education platform by 2030.

On April 15th, information from the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province indicated that the provincial People's Committee leaders had signed a Decision promulgating the Project on the Development of Digital Education until 2030 in the province.

The project sets the goal that by 2030, 100% of educational institutions will have stable, broadband internal network and internet infrastructure that meets the requirements of digital teaching and learning (at least 100Mbps in central areas, 50Mbps in disadvantaged areas); and 100% of schools will implement and use an integrated digital education platform.

Regarding digital learning materials: Develop and utilize the province's digital learning resource repository with a minimum of 500 high-quality learning materials ( videos , interactive lectures, virtual reality); 100% of subjects will have online question and exercise banks.

Regarding teaching and learning methods: 100% of educational institutions from preschool to high school levels have implemented artificial intelligence (AI) applications in management, teaching support, testing, and educational quality assessment. 100% of high schools and 70% of junior high schools have effectively implemented blended learning models. 30% of junior high and high schools have digital creative spaces (Maker Space).

Regarding human digital capabilities: 100% of educational institution administrators and teachers will receive basic digital skills training and be able to apply basic AI in management and teaching; the goal is for over 30% of educational institution administrators and teachers to possess digital skills and basic knowledge of information and data security. 100% of students will learn about digital technology and develop digital competencies appropriate to their respective educational levels.

Regarding governance and connectivity: 100% of educational data (school management, teacher professional development, student management) is digitized and synchronized with the national system. The education management information system and the provincial education sector database are fully completed to serve management and administration.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Ca Mau Department of Education and Training to take the lead and coordinate with relevant units to develop a plan for the timely, effective, and compliant implementation of the Project. This plan should include reviewing the practical requirements of the sector and the province's budget, clearly identifying the target groups and pilot period, evaluating the results of AI application in teaching and learning activities, upgrading Internet infrastructure according to the roadmap, and granting schools autonomy in funding as per regulations.

The Ca Mau Department of Education and Training has been assigned to lead the survey and report on the current state of computer and foreign language classrooms in public secondary schools.

Innovate the format of periodic tests, assessments, and competitions by integrating the functions of the IT and foreign language departments, initially conducting pilot programs in schools that meet the necessary conditions. Research and propose a policy to purchase software to build a data warehouse and exam question bank for the Department, and integrate it with schools for unified operation throughout the province.

Review and propose a policy to integrate the education sector's digital library into the provincial library, and submit it to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee before May 10, 2026.
