A whale, approximately 3-4 meters long, with a dark gray body and a white belly, washed ashore at Lien Chieu beach, Nguyen Tat Thanh street. Many local residents came to the area to offer incense, following the customs of coastal fishermen, showing respect for the "whale god," considered the protector of fishermen at sea.
Border guards and local authorities were present at the scene, cordoning off the coastal area to ensure safety and order. The initial assessment suggests that the fish were washed ashore due to the effects of recent heavy rains, floods, and large waves.
The Lien Chieu ward authorities are actively coordinating with relevant agencies and elders to carry out the funeral ceremony for the whale and bury it according to local customs, while also implementing environmental sanitation measures.
