TPO - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has just proposed to build two dams on the Red River to raise the water level, thereby helping to limit pollution of the Nhue and Day rivers. Currently, the Nhue River is seriously polluted.
Nhue River is a small branch of the Red River, starting point is from Lien Mac sewer, Bac Tu Liem district, ending point is Phu Ly, Ha Nam province.
According to monitoring results announced by the General Department of Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in 2020, the Nhue - Day River has the poorest water environment quality among the five river basins in the North. Of the 185 monitoring points in the five basins, there are 15 polluted points, with the Nhue - Day river alone accounting for 13 points. The two areas of Cau To (Thanh Tri district) and Cu Da (Thanh Oai district) are the most polluted.
Nhue River flows through Hanoi for 62 km, passing through the districts of Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem, Ha Dong and the districts of Thanh Tri, Thanh Oai, Thuong Tin, Phu Xuyen, Ung Hoa. |
The water of the Nhue River flowing through Thuong Tin district is pitch black. |
On the banks of the Nhue River, the section flowing through Thuong Tin district, household waste is collected and spills into the river. |
Similarly, the section of Nhue River flowing through Phu Dien ward, Bac Tu Liem district, the water is pitch black and stinks. |
The Nhue River section passing through Thuong Tin district is currently under bridge construction under the Ring Road 4 project - Capital Region. |
Along both sides of the Nhue River, passing through Phu Dien ward, Bac Tu Liem district, there are many places where household waste is collected. |
Due to polluted river water and garbage, the areas of Phu Dien 1 and Phu Dien 2 residential groups are always hot spots for dengue fever. |
People said that no matter what measures the government takes to solve the pollution of the Nhue and Day rivers, they will support them. |
