(HNMO) – Regarding the fact that a number of private universities announced that they will include linguistics in the medical examination complex in the university entrance exam in 2023, May 28, the Ministry of Health informed: Law on Education Higher education institutions are regulated, higher education institutions autonomously decide on enrollment methods and take responsibility for the enrollment work.
The health sector currently has 17 university training codes, with 66 training schools. The total enrollment target in 2022 is 37.512 students. The basic field of health is a natural science, which requires logical thinking, the ability to analyze quickly, and evaluate accurately.
Over the years, most of the disciplines in the health sector use a combination of B00 (math, chemistry, biology) and A00 (math, chemistry, physics). In addition, there is a combination of A02 (math, physics, biology), D07 (math, chemistry, English), D08 (math, biology, English) ... According to the Ministry of Health, math, chemistry, Biology and physics are very important and necessary subjects for the health field.
According to the assigned functions and tasks, the Ministry of Education and Training is the focal point for management of higher education, including higher education for the health sector. The Ministry of Health does not manage the input, training process and output of higher education.
However, according to the Ministry of Health, training institutions need to have a clear and convincing analysis and explanation of the scientific and practical grounds on the necessity and reasons for including linguistics subject in the training examination. University in the field of health, which is based on analysis, evaluation and comparison of the academic results of the admitted students every year in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training.
On the other hand, the consideration of the scientific and practical basis of the inclusion of linguistics in the admission examination must be analyzed for each specific sector code of the health sector. Training institutions need to consider the provisions of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment on examination and assessment of medical examination and treatment practice capacity before applying for a practice license applicable to a number of titles, especially about the content and form of the test (multiple choice) to consider the inclusion of linguistics in the admissions complex.
The educational institution shall take full responsibility before the law and before practice for the selection of linguistics subjects in the selection combination.
