According to taxpayers, individuals using unfamiliar phone numbers, posing as tax officials, are urging people to come to the tax office urgently or provide bank account information, tax identification numbers, or even request money transfers to "complete the procedures".
The provincial tax authority affirms that it does not conduct business over the phone to request sensitive information or transfer money in any form. When it is necessary to work with taxpayers, the tax authority will send official written notices or use official electronic channels.
The tax authorities advise business owners and individual entrepreneurs not to provide personal information or bank account details to strangers; not to transfer money upon request via phone or social media; and to carefully verify information when receiving suspicious calls. If any signs of fraud are detected, people should immediately report it to the authorities for timely action.
