The center stated that from June 9th, the heatwave in the northern delta and midland areas is likely to end; from June 10th, the heatwave in the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will gradually subside.

According to the Center, due to the effects of hot and intensely hot weather combined with low humidity, there is a high risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased electricity demand, and a risk of forest fires.

The center notes that the temperature forecast in heatwave reports and the actual perceived temperature outdoors can differ by 2-4 degrees Celsius, or even more, depending on surface conditions such as concrete or asphalt.
