According to the morning news of August 21 from the Khanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station, early morning in the western part of Khanh Hoa province there was moderate rain, heavy rain, and some places had very heavy rain. The rainfall measured in Phuoc Khang was 27.2mm; Suoi Hanh 67.8mm; and Suoi Hanh head dam 76.8mm. Humidity in some areas in the southwest of the province was nearly saturated, reaching more than 80%.

According to the experts, on August 21, there will be rain in the province. The total rainfall in the western region is generally from 20 to 40mm/6 hours, in some places more than 40mm. There is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams in mountainous areas; landslides on steep slopes, land subsidence in communes in the west of Khanh Hoa province. There will be showers and thunderstorms in the Truong Sa special economic zone. During the thunderstorm, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind of level 6-7 and waves from 1 to 2m high. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
