In Da Nang , while processing an administrative violation report at the commune police station, two traffic police officers heard shouts and jumped into a lake to rescue two students.

Two students, a boy and a girl, both around 15 years old, drowned in a lake within the Martyrs' Cemetery in Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district, at 9 PM on October 20th. The cemetery is located right behind the commune's police station.

At that moment, Captain Dang Quang Canh and Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Tam, of the Traffic Police Team of Hoa Vang District Police, were writing up administrative violation reports for several traffic violators at the commune police station. Hearing the shouts, the two officers immediately ran out to rescue the people.

Two police officers jumped into the lake, which was about 2 meters deep, in the dark of night, found the two victims, and brought them ashore. The male student's condition stabilized, while the female student, after receiving first aid, gradually regained consciousness and was taken to the commune's health station for emergency treatment.

Last February, three police officers from Hoa Tien commune rescued a 12-year-old boy who was drowning in a lake at the martyrs' cemetery.
