Da Nang: Two ninth-grade students die from drowning.

On the evening of March 26th, Nguyen Hung Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Phuoc commune (Da Nang city), announced that a tragic drowning incident had occurred in Tien Phuoc commune that afternoon, resulting in the deaths of two 9th-grade female students.

Accordingly, at around 3:30 PM on March 26th, a group of 11 students, including 10 from class 9/2 and 1 from class 9/3 of Vo Thi Sau Junior High School in Tien Phuoc commune, went for a walk in Tien Phu Dong village, Tien Phuoc commune.

Upon arriving at the Tray stream area in Tien Phu Dong village, Tien Phuoc commune, the group stopped to play by the stream bank, then waded into the water. While 10 students held hands and waded into the stream (one student remained on the bank), suddenly 3 students, Bao Ngoc, Thai Thi Ha Vy, and Banh Thi My Kieu, slipped and fell into the deep water. The group of classmates managed to pull Bao Ngoc out of the dangerous deep water, but Thai Thi Ha Vy and Banh Thi My Kieu (both born in 2011, residing in Tra Lai village, Tien Phuoc commune) drowned.

The remaining students ran to call for help. Local residents near the scene of the accident pulled My Kieu and Ha Vy out of the water and attempted first aid, but both girls did not survive.
