Peak September 2, Tan Son Nhat airport expected to welcome 130,000 passengers per day

The above information was announced by Tan Son Nhat International Airport on the morning of August 22.

Specifically, the results of the summer peak period and forecast for the National Day holiday on September 2, this unit said that from May 22 to August 17, 2025, Tan Son Nhat airport will carry out 60,144 flights, an average of 699 flights/day, an increase of 5.94% over the same period in 2024.

Regarding passengers, the total number of arrivals and departures reached 10.23 million, an average of 118,891 passengers/day, an increase of 4.48%. Of which, domestic passengers increased by 2.39%, international passengers increased sharply by 7.73%.

It is expected that on the two peak days of August 30 and September 2, Tan Son Nhat airport will serve 750 flights, welcoming 130,000 passengers/day.

On the occasion of the September 2nd holiday, in the 4 days from August 30 to September 2, 2025, the airport is expected to operate an average of 730 flights/day (430 domestic, 300 international), an increase of about 6% compared to the current flight schedule. The number of passengers is estimated to reach 125,000 passengers/day, including 75,000 domestic passengers and 50,000 international passengers.

In particular, on the two peak days of August 30 (domestic departure) and September 2 (domestic arrival), the airport serves 750 flights, welcoming about 130,000 passengers per day.

Currently, Tan Son Nhat Airport has coordinated with airlines to complete the conversion of domestic operations to passenger terminal T3 for Vietnam Airlines , Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Bamboo Airways and Vietravel Airlines. VietJet Air continues to operate domestic flights at terminal T1.
