At 4 p.m. on August 21, Jeong Jonghyeok, 40, a South Korean, hurriedly got dressed. He had prepared his outfit a few days in advance, including a red-star-yellow-flag shirt and a small Vietnamese flag. He booked a car and headed to the city center.

The parade rehearsal and marching session was not until 8:00 p.m. that same day, but by the time Jonghyeok arrived, almost everyone was already seated.

Not knowing the way, he struggled to find a place to stand and got stuck in the crowd. After a while, the Korean customer finally found a position with a good view, enough to observe the passing blocks.

The weather was hot but Jonghyeok was surprised to see people sharing fans with each other. The small action was warm enough to touch everyone's heart.

Although he had to wait for many hours, when he witnessed the majestic parade moments during the rehearsal of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, along with the fervent patriotism of the Vietnamese people, the Korean guest felt it was completely worth it.

In fact, this is not the first time Jonghyeok has attended such big ceremonies in Vietnam.

Having worked in the business sector in Korea, after coming to Vietnam at the beginning of this year, Jonghyeok chose Bac Ninh city as the place for his new start.

After a period of attachment, Jonghyeok finds every day more reasons to love this land.

Previously in April, when people across the country turned to Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the Korean guest shared that he clearly felt the pride and patriotism of the Vietnamese people touching the hearts of foreign guests.

Therefore, he booked a flight to Ho Chi Minh City because he wanted to directly witness the activities celebrating the great occasion.

The guest woke up at 4am, wore a shirt with the Vietnamese flag on it and bought another flag because he wanted to join in the joy of the people on this special occasion. Also on this trip, he went to the Independence Palace to learn more about history.

He doesn't want to miss almost any important event in Vietnam. The Korean man who once "stormed" with the people to celebrate the victory of the Vietnamese football team struggled to get tickets to see the concert "Fatherland in the Heart" on August 10.

During the concert, the image of a giant Vietnamese flag fluttering, and below it, the scene of tens of thousands of people placing their hands on their chests to shout "Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh " were things he could never forget.

"I am happy and lucky to be able to join this atmosphere. Peace in Vietnam is so beautiful," Jonghyeok shared with Dan Tri reporter .

For Korean visitors, what they witnessed in Vietnam will become an unforgettable part of their life.

At 8:00 p.m. on August 21, at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi), a rehearsal for the military parade and march took place in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

The scale of the rehearsal is equivalent to the official ceremony with the participation of all forces including the walking group, standing group, vehicle group and security and service forces.

The second rehearsal will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 24 (Sunday). The preliminary rehearsal for the Anniversary Ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 27. The final rehearsal for the Anniversary Ceremony will take place at 6:30 a.m. on August 30.

The official celebration, parade and march will take place at 6:30 a.m. on September 2.

According to plan, on September 2, after passing through the stage at Ba Dinh Square, the parade groups are expected to split into 7 directions, moving through the central streets of Hanoi.

The stage area at Ba Dinh Square is reserved for invited delegates.

Residents and tourists can watch the event on the streets where the parade passes and on LED screens installed on many streets across the city.
