Currently, the whole province has 30,445 hectares of rubber, of which 6,040 hectares are under basic construction, 24,405 hectares are being exploited, with an estimated yield of 12.9 tons/ha; coffee area is over 3,700 hectares, of which 3,340 hectares are being harvested, with an estimated yield of 12-14 tons of fresh fruit/ha; pepper area is nearly 3,150 hectares, in the post-harvest stage, with a yield of 9-10 tons/ha.
In addition, the whole province currently has about 10,700 hectares of fruit trees, of which banana trees are 5,300 hectares, citrus fruit trees (oranges, grapefruits) are 1,600 hectares, other fruit trees such as avocado, jackfruit, dragon fruit, custard apple, passion fruit... maintain a stable area of several dozen hectares or more.
Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hong Phuong said that recently, localities in the province have focused on supporting people and businesses to restore and expand the area of industrial crops and key fruit trees, aiming to form products with competitive advantages and sustainable economic value in the market.
The unit will continue to direct and guide the promotion of restructuring of key crop areas, planning specialized production areas associated with the construction of concentrated raw material areas for refined and deep processing. At the same time, encourage enterprises and production facilities to apply digital technology in managing growing areas, tracing origins, gradually building and affirming the province's typical agricultural product brand associated with a stable consumption market and high added value.
