Previously, at around 3:45 p.m. the same day, local people reported that a group of 6 people from Dakrong commune were working in the cajuput forest area of Hieu Giang commune and were stuck and unable to return due to rising floodwaters.
Initial information, these people were isolated in the forest for nearly 2 days and at that time food and water had run out and they were exhausted.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 6 under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department coordinated with Hieu Giang Commune Police to mobilize 2 specialized vehicles, 1 canoe and 22 officers and soldiers to urgently approach the scene.

According to the leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, due to the fragmented terrain and strong floodwaters in the search area, the rescue work was difficult and potentially risky. However, with a sense of responsibility, effort and professional skills, by 7:50 p.m. tonight, the rescue team had brought all 6 people out of the danger zone to safety.
Currently, all victims are in stable health and have returned home safely by authorities.
