LPBank joins hands with the Ministry of Finance to promote digital and green transformation for Vietnamese enterprises

Within the framework of the “Partnership Conference to Promote Digital - Green Transformation of Vietnamese Enterprises 2025”, Loc Phat Bank (LPBank) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Private Enterprise Development and Collective Economy (APED) under the Ministry of Finance. LPBank officially became a banking partner of the Dual Transformation Center to develop credit packages and “digital - green” financial products to support small and medium enterprises.

According to the agreement, LPBank will work with APED and international partners to build and operate a Dual Transformation Center, the first public-private partnership model in Vietnam aimed at digital transformation alongside green transformation.

The center is organized into a "two-tier" structure: at the national level, the center located at the Ministry of Finance plays a coordinating role in policy, data, and international cooperation; while at the sectoral and local levels, satellite centers directly implement consulting, training, technology transfer, and business support.

Within that ecosystem, LPBank assumes the role of a strategic financial partner, developing "digital-green" credit packages and financial products to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in accessing investment capital for clean technology, energy saving, emission reduction, and improved operational efficiency.

Mr. Bui Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Private Enterprise and Collective Economy Development, Ministry of Finance, delivered a speech at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Bui Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Private Enterprise and Collective Economy Development, affirmed: “Vietnam is a country with nearly 1 million enterprises and more than 5 million business households, of which 98% are small and medium-sized enterprises - the core force of the economy, contributing about 50% of GDP and more than 30% of the state budget - we clearly recognize that dual transformation is no longer an option but an urgent requirement for Vietnamese enterprises not only to survive but also to lead development.”

Speaking at the event, Ms. Vu Nam Huong, Deputy General Director and Director of Corporate Banking at LPBank, emphasized that this collaboration is a strategic step in the bank's sustainable development journey, demonstrating its efforts to accompany the Vietnamese government and businesses on the path of digital and green transformation. “We aspire to transform the Dual Transformation Center into a ‘bridge’ between Vietnamese businesses and international investors, creating a stable flow of green capital and promoting sustainable finance and green economic growth,” Ms. Huong shared.

Ms. Vu Nam Huong shared this at the conference.

LPBank's selection as a banking partner of the Dual Transformation Center is a recognition of its continuous efforts in developing digital transformation and green credit over the years. Accordingly, LPBank has always focused on investing in digital transformation to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. The bank has collaborated with Temenos to implement the modern T24 Corebanking system, automating business processes, optimizing data management, and providing a comprehensive digital banking experience for customers.

The Kondor Treasury project, in collaboration with Finastra, also helped LPBank digitize its asset and liquidity management operations, thereby increasing operational efficiency and reducing risks. Recently, LPBank also launched a smart multi-channel call center using artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically recognize voices and serve customers 24/7, marking a step forward in transforming the customer experience.

The bank has launched the LPBank Biz platform for corporate customers, while also comprehensively upgrading the LPBank application, adding many new features such as online digital service registration, portfolio management, flexible online savings, etc., providing a more modern and convenient experience for customers.

Alongside its digitalization strategy, LPBank also focuses on investing in and developing green credit packages to support businesses. In the first six months of 2025, LPBank's total green credit outstanding reached VND 7,789 billion. Of this, VND 7,310 billion was allocated to renewable energy projects and VND 479 billion to green agriculture. These figures clearly demonstrate LPBank's orientation towards making "green finance" a pillar of long-term development, while supporting Vietnamese businesses in meeting international ESG standards.

The Vietnam 2025 Digital and Green Business Transformation Partnership Conference, organized by APED in collaboration with the German International Development Cooperation Agency (GIZ), brought together representatives from regulatory agencies, investment funds, large enterprises, startups, and international organizations.

Against the backdrop of Vietnamese businesses entering a phase of accelerated "dual transformation"—both comprehensive digitalization to keep pace with technological trends and greening operations to meet global sustainable development standards—this event is considered a strategic forum connecting the Government, development organizations, and the business community in the journey of creating a sustainable innovation ecosystem.

With a sustainable development strategy centered on people and communities, LPBank affirms its commitment to further expanding green finance initiatives, promoting comprehensive digital transformation, and partnering with the Government in efforts towards a green, digital, and prosperous economy.
