Stimulating domestic consumption
Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung emphasized the expectation that the event should not only be a food festival honoring pho, but also an event showcasing quality products and services, stimulating consumption and tourism.
This has also been the goal and mission of Pho Day for over 9 years. Each Pho Day event is not only about enjoying pho from famous pho restaurants, but also about meeting demand, with a convenient commercial space where customers can eat and take food home.
Attending Pho Day from the former Go Vap district, Ms. Bich said that she and her son each ate 3 bowls of pho, and possibly 4 if their favorite pho restaurant didn't run out too quickly. Besides the 6 bowls of pho they ate, she also stopped by the Acecook booth to buy 10 packets of instant pho to take home. In one morning, she spent 500,000 VND on her family's food.

"This event was great. I had so many choices in one place, at the same time. I got to know more pho restaurants and new brands," Ms. Bich said.
From a different perspective, Mr. Lai Huu Anh, a resident of District 4 (formerly), assessed that Pho Day 2025 has a reasonable and scientific arrangement and organization, suitable for the needs of people looking to find and purchase quality products.
He said his family really enjoys Cholimex brand soy sauce, and when he came across their booth, he bought four bottles to take home. "At many fairs, they only sell miscellaneous goods. You can't buy anything," he added.
Transporting pho by container!
Speaking at the talk show "Pho Past, Pho Present, Pho Tomorrow?" within the framework of Pho Day 2025, journalist Cao Huy Tho stated that Vietnamese pho is now being exported to the world in containers, as more and more businesses, not only large corporations but also small and medium-sized enterprises in the country, are successfully exporting instant pho, dried pho noodles, dried vermicelli, etc., abroad.
Pho Day and the Vietnam Pho Festival are recognized for their significant contributions to connecting and facilitating business interaction across markets, most recently in Singapore, South Korea, and Japan.
Pho Day 2025 was held right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, attracting many foreign tourists, and giving businesses the opportunity to interact and better understand the diversity and high standards of consumers in other countries.

Talk show: Pho of the past, Pho of the present, Pho of tomorrow?
Sharing at the talk show, Ms. Xuan Ngoc - Head of Marketing Department of Acecook Vietnam JSC - informed that the company has been accompanying the event for many years, and has recorded many business successes after each year participating in Pho Day.
According to Ms. Ngoc, while 10 years ago Acecook targeted markets with large Vietnamese communities such as Eastern Europe, South Korea, or Japan, the company has now expanded its market to Western Europe, such as the Netherlands, and its products are well-received by locals, not just those of Vietnamese origin.
Vietnamese pho is expected to become one of Vietnam's prominent national brands, as many countries like Japan attract a lot of tourists and trade with ramen and soba noodles, South Korea with kimchi, and Italy with pizza.
"Vietnamese pho is perfectly capable of doing that. The recent Vietnam Pho Festivals in Japan, South Korea, and Singapore have proven that a single dish can pave the way for an entire product ecosystem: rice - meat - spices - processed foods - beverages - coffee - logistics... Let your product go global with its own story," Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang encouraged businesses.
"Vietnamese pho is delicious!" - this was the comment of a foreign tourist who visited Pho Day 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Pho must be eaten with chili sauce.
Eating pho with chili sauce or hoisin sauce partly reflects the diversity in how Vietnamese people enjoy pho, a habit deeply ingrained in the taste of many. "Eating pho doesn't necessarily require chili sauce, but if it's available, I'll definitely use it. Otherwise, it would be a waste," shared Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, while enjoying pho at Pho Day.

Many diners also say that pho is incomplete without chili sauce and hoisin sauce. Mr. Lai Huu Anh (formerly District 4) said, "It's become a habit; personally, I find Cholimex sauce to be the most suitable for my family's taste."
Similarly, Ms. Thuy (Binh Thanh) brought her family of three to Pho Day early: "We eat pho with both chili sauce and black bean sauce. Adding sauce really brings out the flavor of the pho," she shared, adding that her family has trusted Cholimex for a long time because it suits their taste.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai said that Vietnamese pho is a particularly popular dish among the locals in the country: "Many Poles have even learned how to cook pho at home so they can enjoy it more easily."
In celebration of Pho Day on December 12th, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland recently introduced pho to diners at an international fair in Warsaw, receiving very positive feedback from locals.
