Khao Mang Commune has a large area with 13 villages, many of which are dozens of kilometers away from the commune center. Hoa Ban Kindergarten currently has 1 main school and 6 satellite schools, most of which are located in remote highland villages such as Hang Bla Ha A, Hang Bla Ha B, Seo Ma Pan, Hang Chang Lu, Na De Thang. The divided terrain and difficult transportation make it difficult to invest in infrastructure for the schools.

Ms. Doan Thi Phuc - Principal of Hoa Ban Kindergarten shared: In the past, many remote schools were just temporary wooden classrooms or prefabricated houses. It was cold in winter and leaky in rainy season; children had to sit and study on the ground, there were almost no toys. Teachers working at remote schools had a hard time because the roads were mainly dirt roads.

The lack of facilities makes it difficult to mobilize children to go to class, and the teaching staff cannot work with peace of mind. Initially, socialization only stopped at the level of people contributing labor days to repair the school. Realizing this limitation, the school proactively called for support from social organizations, businesses and philanthropists to invest in building solid classrooms and kitchens.

In just the past 3 school years, Hoa Ban Kindergarten has built 2 classrooms, 3 kitchens, repaired fences, embankments and water supply lines for schools under a "turnkey" model with a total value of over 1.8 billion VND.
In addition, many organizations, businesses and individuals also donated equipment for child care and education such as: televisions, refrigerators, meat grinders, school supplies, warm clothes and personal items.

Sharing about the village's satellite school being invested by MapStudy Hanoi Education Investment Company Limited to build a 50 m² kitchen, worth more than 260 million VND, Mr. Thao A Phuong - Head of Seo Ma Pan village excitedly said: Without the attention and investment of organizations and individuals, students in our village would still have to study in dilapidated classrooms. When seeing the classrooms and kitchens being built, everyone agreed to contribute working days to complete the project.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Anh - Director of MAPSTUDY Education Company Hanoi - the unit that supported 475 million VND to build 2 kitchens at Hang Chang Lu and Seo Ma Pan schools, shared: Hopefully, our small contributions can help children in the highlands have nutritious meals to develop both physically and mentally. Hopefully, the children will be like young shoots growing up in the mountains and forests.

These contributions have brought about a remarkable change in education in the Khao Mang highlands. Each action and each heart has contributed to the construction of spacious classrooms - a place to nurture the dreams of the ethnic minority children here.

Ms. Sung Thi Vang - a teacher at Hang Chang Lu school, emotionally said: Before, without the new kitchen, the children could only cook 2 meals a week, the rest of the time they had to bring their meals to class. Now that there is a spacious kitchen, the school organizes cooking 5 meals a week, so parents can feel secure in sending their children to school.

Thanks to the improved learning environment, the attendance rate of children has increased significantly, reaching over 96%, higher than in previous school years. The quality of care and nutrition has also been improved when schools have additional kitchens, ensuring nutrition for students.

We highly appreciate the way Hoa Ban Kindergarten works. Not relying entirely on the state budget, the school proactively mobilizes social resources. Completing the infrastructure at the satellite schools helps improve the learning conditions of students, contributing to changing the face of the rural highlands.

Teacher Doan Thi Phuc - Principal of Hoa Ban Kindergarten shared: The school sincerely thanks the companionship and sharing of organizations and individuals and commits to effectively and sustainably manage and use the supported projects. We hope that the children will have a good learning environment, so that when they grow up, they will have knowledge, have dreams, and contribute to making their homeland more and more beautiful.

Not relying on the state budget, Hoa Ban Kindergarten has promoted the spirit of initiative, mobilized people and social resources to improve facilities, contributing to changing the face of education in the Khao Mang highlands. The spacious schools filled with children's laughter today are a living proof of the strength of solidarity and love for children in the highlands.
