The Provincial Military Command has deployed more than 500 officers and soldiers from its subordinate units to assist the people in effectively responding to flooding and landslides in the province.
This includes nearly 200 military officers and soldiers, and over 200 militia members. The units include: the Defense Command of Zone 1 – Duc Trong; the Defense Command of Zone 3 – Bao Lam; the Defense Command of Zone 4 – La Gi; the Defense Command of Zone 5 – Phan Thiet; the 812th Infantry Regiment; the Border Guard Command; and the Mechanized Reconnaissance Company.

Colonel Nguyen Van Son, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, stated: “The units have effectively implemented the ‘4 on-site’ and ‘3 ready’ principles; quickly deploying forces and equipment to access dangerous areas, transporting essential supplies to ensure that people do not lack temporary shelter or food, and relocating people to safe areas. The Provincial Military Command also promptly implemented plans to ensure the safety of forces participating in the mission.”

In addition to promptly deploying response forces, the Provincial Military Command also deployed timely support vehicles such as military trucks, boats, and canoes, especially at critical points with high risk and severe flooding.
By this morning, the situation in some areas was basically stable. The Provincial Military Command had deployed forces to proactively clean up mud and debris, and sanitize the environment, prioritizing medical facilities, schools, offices, and residential areas.

The Provincial Military Command further reported that currently, the water levels in some irrigation reservoirs are higher than the normal water level. Notably, Song Khan Reservoir is 0.77m higher than the normal water level; Suoi Da Reservoir is 0.57m higher; Cam Hang Reservoir is 0.71m higher than the normal water level; Ca Giang Reservoir is 0.71m higher than the normal water level; Du Du Reservoir is 0.59m higher than the normal water level…

To proactively respond to potential situations, the Provincial Military Command maintains a 24/7 hotline, ready to receive rescue information. They organize standby forces at critical points and proactively develop rescue plans, ensuring sufficient food supplies and absolute safety for the people.

Particularly in areas experiencing flooding and landslides, the Provincial Military Command has also instructed agencies and units throughout the force to strictly maintain duty rosters, proactively monitor and keep abreast of the rain and flood situation; and promptly deploy the maximum number of forces and resources to help localities evacuate people from dangerous areas to safe places.
