Lam Dong's industry and trade sector accelerates, aiming for double-digit growth.

On the afternoon of December 17th, the Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade held a conference to summarize the achievements of 2025 and outline the tasks for 2026.

The conference was held in both in-person and online formats, connecting to 124 locations in communes, wards, and special zones.

According to the report, from July 2025, the two-tiered local government model has been implemented synchronously, initially showing positive results in the field of Industry and Trade. The Industry and Trade sector has proactively reviewed, reorganized, and streamlined its organizational structure, clarified functions and tasks, and assigned responsibilities clearly, ensuring smooth and effective state management between the provincial and commune/ward/special zone levels.

Industrial production in the area continued to grow. Trade, services, and commodity prices remained stable, adequately meeting the living needs of the people.

The conference was held online, connecting to 124 locations at the commune, ward, and special zone levels.

Industrial promotion activities have yielded positive results, gradually creating momentum and promoting industrial development. Domestic trade remains stable, with smooth flow of goods. E-commerce continues to develop, becoming an important distribution channel, contributing to the development of supply chains and goods circulation. Trade promotion both domestically and internationally continues to receive attention.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has urgently implemented programs and solutions to support production and expand markets with trade promotion activities such as advertising, exhibitions, promotions, information dissemination, and effective product distribution connections; promptly identifying and resolving difficulties and obstacles, helping businesses stabilize production, boost consumption, and develop markets.

Besides the achievements, the Industry and Trade sector also frankly pointed out limitations and shortcomings. These include several energy projects that could not be implemented because they had not been updated in the provincial planning. Some power transmission line projects were not in line with commune-level planning, despite existing sectoral planning. Speaking at the conference, Director of the Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade, Nguyen Ba Ut, emphasized: 2026 is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, a foundational year for implementing the socio -economic development plan for the period 2026-2030, and the first year of achieving double-digit growth targets.

To successfully achieve the set growth targets and requirements, the Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade will focus intensely, make greater efforts, and be more determined to implement the objectives, tasks, and solutions set forth in a decisive, synchronized, effective, and substantive manner.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that, with the advantage of expanding administrative boundaries after the merger, the Industry and Trade sector has immense potential and room for development, arguably leading the country in many areas. Therefore, the sector must focus on evaluating and urgently implementing the key tasks set for 2026, striving for a growth rate of 8% or higher, to create momentum and strength for double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period. This is a very high requirement, demanding tremendous effort from the entire sector.

In 2026, Lam Dong province's Department of Industry and Trade aims for a 10% increase in industrial production compared to 2025. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue are estimated at VND 322,800 billion, an increase of 25.99%. Export turnover is estimated at USD 3,590 million, an increase of 10.97%.
