Van Yen Business Association promotes bringing Phong Du Thuong agricultural products to GO!m Supermarket

On the afternoon of October 30, at the Cultural House of Lang Than village, Phong Du Thuong commune, the program "Meeting with Enterprises in Van Yen area" was held. The event aimed to strengthen the connection and cooperation between the government, local cooperatives and the Business Association of Van Yen area, to seek opportunities for product consumption and tourism development.

Speaking at the meeting, the representative of Phong Du Thuong Commune People's Committee gave an overview of the potential and strengths of the locality. Phong Du Thuong Commune has a natural area of ​​195.2 km2 ^, with 96.8% of the population being ethnic minorities, with a cool climate, mountainous terrain interspersed with valleys, favorable for agricultural development and ecotourism.

Leaders of Phong Du Thuong commune introduced the potentials and strengths of the locality.

In terms of agriculture, the commune's greatest strength is cinnamon trees with an area of ​​nearly 4,500 hectares, along with many typical branded products such as Ban Lung snails, Ban Lung green rice, green-necked duck, local pigs, hill chickens and sturgeon.

Regarding tourism , the commune possesses many wild and majestic natural landscapes such as Khe Tau terraced fields, natural hot springs in Cao Son village, and Khe Ban and Khe Mang waterfalls. The commune also has a great advantage in terms of traffic infrastructure when it has a route directly connecting National Highway 32 with IC14 intersection of Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.

Based on these potentials, the Van Yen Regional Business Association has introduced the goal of connecting and developing local product value chains.

The two sides also discussed key solutions and agreed to seek cooperation models to bring the commune's typical agricultural and forestry products into large distribution systems such as GO! Supermarket and rest stops on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway.

Representatives of local leaders and businesses gave their opinions at the meeting.

At the same time, the Business Association also discussed the direction of investment cooperation, community tourism development and experiential tourism, associated with the conservation and exploitation of existing natural tourist attractions such as Khe Tau terraced fields and Cao Son hot spring. The parties also agreed on the direction of building the "Phong Du Thuong Specialty" brand and enhancing promotion and connection with the province's tourist routes.

The meeting is expected to establish a sustainable link between businesses and localities, expand consumption channels for agricultural products and contribute to enhancing the brand and developing tourism for Phong Du Thuong commune in the coming time.
