Speaking at the 1st Congress of the Farmers' Association of Dat Mui Commune, term 2025-2030 on the morning of October 31, comrade Nguyen Hoang Thoai, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Association, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Ca Mau province, requested the Farmers' Association of the commune to continue to promote its core role in developing ecological - organic - high-tech agriculture, building a model of civilized and modern farmers, promoting the application of science - technology, digital transformation in production, replicating economic models according to the value chain; focusing on developing the shrimp - crab - forest - eco-tourism industry, contributing to building Dat Mui commune into a modern and ecological urban area.

He emphasized that the Commune Farmers' Association needs to perfect its organization to be lean and operate effectively, improve its political capacity, moral qualities, practical capacity and farmer mobilization skills, associated with the slogan "3 close": close to the people, close to the grassroots, close to the digital space; "5 musts": must listen, must dialogue, must be a role model, must take responsibility, must report results; "4 nos": no formalities, no avoidance, no shirking, no mishandling of functions.

At the same time, continue to support members in investing capital, applying science - technology, new technology, improving productivity and product quality; promote the industrious and creative spirit of farmers in restructuring the agricultural - tourism economy, associated with "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.

During the last term, the Farmers' Association of Dat Mui Commune has added 138 members, bringing the total to 1,945 members. The movement of good farmers in production and business has been maintained and spread widely; the whole commune currently has 10 cooperatives, 25 cooperative groups, 5 professional farmer associations, 3 professional branches, and farmer clubs for environmental protection and good production and business. These models contribute to increasing the average income of over 62 million VND/person/year, protecting the environment and developing the local economy.

The Association also supported members to escape poverty sustainably, helping 9 households escape poverty, mobilized over 15 million VND to build "Farmer's Shelter"; coordinated with the Social Policy Bank to manage 21 loan groups with a total outstanding loan of over 8 billion VND, helping 1,068 households borrow to develop production. The Commune Farmers Support Fund reached 1.71 billion VND, implemented 11 projects, accompanied members in the OCOP program, up to now the commune has 6 products meeting 3-star standards.

Comrade Nguyen Hoang Thoai, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Ca Mau province, presented capital from the Farmers' Support Fund to the Farmers' Association of Dat Mui commune, worth 2 billion VND.

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Dat Mui commune presented a banner to the 1st Congress of Delegates of the Farmers' Association of Dat Mui commune, term 2025-2030.

The Congress set out 4 general goals, 12 main targets and many specific groups of solutions for the new term; including striving to establish 8 new professional associations, 15 professional groups, 3 cooperatives and 1 agricultural cooperative; annually have 70% of members register as good farmers and businessmen, solid waste collection reaches 95% or more and 97% of branches and groups complete their tasks well.

The Congress announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Dat Mui Commune, Term I, consisting of 25 comrades, the Standing Committee consisting of 7 comrades; Comrade Phan Xa Lang was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Dat Mui Commune, Term I, 2025-2030.
