Establishment of the Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee under the APEC 2027 National Committee

Accordingly, the Chairman of the APEC 2027 National Committee decided to establish the Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee under the APEC 2027 National Committee.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs , as Head of the Subcommittee on Propaganda and Culture; Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, as Deputy Head of the Subcommittee on Propaganda and Culture; Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as Deputy Head of the Subcommittee on Propaganda and Culture.

The Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee also has members representing relevant ministries, localities and agencies.

The Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee is responsible for organizing and directing the reporting, propaganda and promotion of conferences and related activities of the APEC Forum in Vietnam in 2027 with the following specific tasks:

Develop plans and direct the organization and implementation of information, propaganda and promotion activities for APEC Vietnam Year 2027, especially APEC Summit Week, including domestic and international propaganda work (develop a website for APEC Vietnam Year 2027, organize press conferences, develop logos, propaganda publications, and clips introducing APEC Summit Week 2027; provide information on activities of APEC Vietnam Year 2027).

Develop plans and direct the organization and implementation of promotional, cultural, artistic, and street decoration activities to serve APEC Vietnam Year 2027.

Establishment of the Content Subcommittee of the APEC 2027 National Committee

Develop plans and direct the organization and implementation of information, propaganda and promotion activities about Vietnam and its people on the occasion of the APEC Summit Week 2027.

Build, manage and operate the Press Centers serving conferences and events during APEC Vietnam Year 2027.

Receive, guide and manage the activities of domestic and foreign reporters reporting on activities and events of APEC Vietnam Year 2027.

Preside over the speaking and information provision related to activities and events of APEC Vietnam Year 2027.

Periodically report and seek direct guidance from the Chairman of the APEC 2027 National Committee during the preparation and implementation of propaganda and cultural activities.

Coordinate with other Sub-committees of the APEC 2027 National Committee in propaganda and cultural activities.

Perform other tasks as directed by the Chairman of the APEC 2027 National Committee.

Head of the Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee: Responsible to the Chairman of the APEC 2027 National Committee for organizing and directing the reporting, propaganda and promotion of conferences and related activities of APEC 2027 in Vietnam; in charge of and directing the general activities of the Subcommittee.

Overall responsibility, major orientation; decide on assignment, regulate work coordination regime, periodically hold meetings or convene meetings when necessary to ensure effective work handling; coordinate and direct work with other sub-committees, relevant agencies and localities.

Responsible to the Chairman of the APEC 2027 National Committee for assigned tasks.

Members of the Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee perform the tasks stated in the Decision to establish the Subcommittee and other tasks assigned by the Head of the Subcommittee; are responsible to the Head of the Subcommittee and the Head of their agency for performing assigned tasks; attend meetings convened by the Head of the Subcommittee; periodically report on the results of implementation of all aspects of work; promptly report on difficulties and problems during the implementation process.

The Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee has an Office located at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , acting as a focal point for coordination with other agencies and Subcommittees in implementing work. The permanent unit of the Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee is the Department of Press and Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Propaganda and Culture Subcommittee will work from the date of the Decision until the completion of tasks serving APEC activities in Vietnam in 2027 and related activities.
