Director of Hanoi City Police Department inspects the reality at La Phu craft village

On October 31, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Director of the Hanoi City Police Department and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Vo Nguyen Phong, together with representatives of departments and branches, inspected production establishments and business households in La Phu craft village (An Khanh commune, Hanoi).

The inspection aims to listen to difficulties and obstacles in production and business, thereby advising the leaders of the City People's Committee to have solutions to remove "bottlenecks" in mechanisms and policies, thereby creating the best conditions for business households to develop, contributing to promoting the city's economy .

In La Phu craft village, the owners of the establishments said that in the past, they produced poor quality goods and sold cakes and candies without invoices or documents. After the working session on June 20, 2025, with the attention and close direction of Party committees and local authorities at all levels, along with the drastic participation of functional forces such as the police, market management, tax, industry and trade, etc., the management, inspection and propaganda work has been promoted, and people's awareness has been increasingly raised.

The facility owners affirmed that there is no longer a situation of producing poor quality goods, no trading of goods without invoices or documents, and that the facilities operate and compete fairly.

After listening to opinions from people, business representatives, departments and branches, comrade Nguyen Thanh Tung affirmed that focusing on environmental protection, preventing and combating counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods not only contributes to building the image of civilized and sustainable craft villages, but also clearly demonstrates the responsibility of each individual and production facility towards the community and society.

The City Police Director also affirmed that this is not only the task of La Phu craft village, but also a common requirement for all craft villages in the city. The development of craft villages needs to be placed in a harmonious relationship between economy - environment - culture - society , towards the goal of sustainable development.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung emphasized that in the coming time, it is forecasted that economic and environmental crimes, smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, etc. will increase, especially in the e-commerce environment. Departments, branches, sectors, and local authorities where craft villages are located need to strengthen leadership, direction, and assign specific responsibilities; mobilize the entire political system, businesses, and people to participate in preventing, fighting, and handling violations.

The City Police Director requested departments and branches to proactively advise on solutions to remove difficulties and support sustainable development of craft villages; production and business establishments must comply with the law, compete fairly, protect consumers and the environment; functional forces must strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations; at the same time, step up propaganda and mobilize people and businesses to denounce violations, contributing to building a safe and healthy business environment.
