Improving the quality of electricity service in border areas

(DN) - With a large area, long border, and relatively large investment, this is a big difficulty and challenge for the Loc Ninh Electricity Management Team, Dong Nai Electricity Company (PC Dong Nai) in the process of serving people and businesses. The works and projects that the electricity industry has prioritized for investment and upgrading, associated with regular and continuous electricity supply in recent times, have contributed to promoting socio-economic development, changing the face of remote areas and border areas.

Settling in the adjacent residential area - Border militia post of Suoi Thon hamlet, Loc Thanh commune, Dong Nai province since 2019 until now, the house is spacious, solid, the essential needs for life are guaranteed, in which the regular and continuous power supply has helped Mr. Pham Thanh Hoai and many other families adapt quickly to life in the border area.

Mr. Pham Thanh Hoai shared: "Being arranged a stable place to live, with full electricity and water, my family feels comfortable mentally, from there we can focus on work. The convenient equipment serving life helps me feel secure to stay long-term."

Mr. Dieu Hoang, also living in the adjacent residential area - Border militia post in Suoi Thon hamlet, Loc Thanh commune, said: The electricity in the house and outside the alley helps people here to be more connected, community activities and meetings at night are very convenient. Moreover, the electricity helps children have conditions to study and play.

Loc Ninh Electricity Management Team is managing and supplying electricity to 68 households in 4 adjacent residential areas and 7 militia posts of border communes. Responsible participation in timely deployment of electricity connection and regular and continuous electricity supply in recent times has created conditions for 100% of households in adjacent residential areas to access the national grid, thereby serving their daily life and production better.

Accompanying socio- economic development

Multi-industry business associated with ice production, therefore, the stable power source from the 110 kV Hoa Lu transformer station with a capacity of 40 MVA and the 110 kV branch line connecting to the 110 kV Hoa Lu station, which was put into operation by the electricity industry from the end of 2024, has helped Mr. Hoang Thanh Minh's family in Thanh Cuong hamlet, Loc Thanh commune completely solve the problem of weak electricity and unstable supply for many years.

Mr. Hoang Thanh Minh said: Now, the power supply is very stable, there are no more power outages like in previous years. Electrical equipment is no longer damaged due to unstable power supply.

Along with ensuring daily needs, the constantly improving quality of electricity sources has also created an important driving force for socio-economic development in remote, isolated and border areas.

Mr. Ha Van Vinh, Head of Thanh Cuong Hamlet, Loc Thanh Commune, said: In addition to irrigation for agricultural production, improved electricity quality also helps attract businesses to invest, wood processing facilities and livestock farms to operate stably, thereby creating jobs for many local workers.

With the investment priority of Southern Power Corporation, Hoa Lu 110 kV transformer station with 40 MVA capacity, 110 kV branch line connecting Hoa Lu 110 kV station and Loc Ninh 110 kV transformer station 2x63 MVA were put into operation and exploited from the end of 2024, contributing to improving the quality of electricity service, meeting the increasing electricity demand of people and businesses in the border area.

"In addition, the Loc Ninh Electricity Management Team also deployed many solutions to check the power grid, promptly handle arising incidents; at the same time, propagate and guide customers to use electricity safely and economically, serve well the people and businesses in the border area, and avoid power outages like before" - Mr. Ho Van Ut, Deputy Head of Loc Ninh Electricity Management Team, Dong Nai PC, added.

The key works and projects put into operation, exploitation and supply by the electricity sector not only ensure the provision of light but are also an important resource to help people and businesses expand production, promote development in the border areas of Dong Nai, thereby making practical contributions to the protection of national border security and sovereignty.
