Presenting nearly 1,000 gifts to support people in isolated flood-hit Phu Ho area

HNN.VN - By the evening of October 30, the People's Committee of Phu Ho commune and the commune police coordinated with benefactors to give nearly 1,000 gifts to people affected by floods, especially households in deeply flooded and isolated areas.

Support essential goods for people

The gifts included rice, instant noodles, bottled water, milk, cakes, flashlights and many practical items to serve urgent needs due to floods. The police of Phu Ho commune arranged vehicles (canoes) and the force of officers, soldiers and leaders of Phu Ho commune divided into many trips, to the flooded areas to hand out gifts to the people. The People's Committee of the commune visited, encouraged and supported 2 households who were holding funerals for people who died during the flood with 30 boxes of instant noodles and 40kg of rice.

During the recent days of floods, low-lying areas in Phu Ho commune such as Vinh Luong Khe, Xuan O, Tay Ho, Van Giang, and Le Xa villages were flooded, water receded slowly, and there were power outages, many households had difficulty with necessities. Phu Ho commune leaders and commune police leaders connected with donors to share difficulties with the people.

In recent days, the local government and Phu Ho Commune Police have directly gone to the low-lying areas to visit, encourage and give gifts to the people. On October 31, the commune police will coordinate with donors to continue giving 200 gifts to the people of Le Xa village.
