Training on legal aid access points for nearly 200 grassroots cadres in ethnic minority areas

On October 29 and 30, the State Legal Aid Center No. 1 - Department of Justice of Dak Lak province coordinated with the People's Committees of Cu M'ta and Ea Drong communes to organize two training conferences on legal aid access points in 2025.

Attending the conferences were nearly 200 delegates who were village and hamlet officials, village elders, prestigious people in the community, union officials and grassroots officials of ethnic minority areas of the two communes.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hue, Deputy Director of State Legal Aid Center No. 1, spoke at the conference.

At the conference, the reporters conveyed the basic contents of the 2017 Law on Legal Aid; introduced the beneficiaries, forms and procedures for requesting legal aid; and the rights and obligations of those receiving legal aid. At the same time, many practical legal situations related to civil disputes, marriage - family, land, etc. were integrated, helping students to easily understand, remember and conveniently apply the law dissemination and popularization at the grassroots level.

Along with theoretical content, students also watch special reports on legal aid activities, participate in group discussions, discuss specific legal situations, and are provided with legal documents, leaflets, and brochures to serve propaganda work in the locality.

Many village and hamlet officials of Cu M'ta commune attended the training course.

Cu M'ta and Ea Drông are two purely agricultural communes, people's lives are still difficult, the rate of poor and near-poor households is high; many ethnic minorities do not have full access to legal information, and are still hesitant to use legal services. Organizing training on access to legal aid points here is a practical activity, helping grassroots cadres, village elders, and prestigious people to be equipped with knowledge and skills to recognize, guide and introduce people to access free legal aid services of the State.

The 2025 Legal Aid Access Point Training Plan is one of the key activities of the State Legal Aid Center No. 1 in implementing the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas. Thereby, contributing to raising legal awareness, maintaining social order and safety and ensuring equal access to justice for all people.
