Speaking at the ceremony, the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Urban and Industrial Zone Environment Association, Nguyen Huu Tien, emphasized that the 30th anniversary celebration is an opportunity to express gratitude for the dedicated contributions of generations of leaders, officials, and members who have laid the foundation, preserved, and promoted the role of the Association over the years, affirming the position and mission of the Vietnam Urban and Industrial Zone Environment Association, and looking towards new development directions…
Over 30 years of development, from its humble beginnings, the Association has gradually strengthened its organization, expanded its membership network nationwide, and played a bridging role between state management agencies and the business community, including environmental service providers and producers. Many members are directly involved in key tasks such as collecting, transporting, and processing solid household waste; maintaining and cleaning urban infrastructure; and supplying environmental equipment and technology to industrial parks and urban areas.

In its professional activities, the Association has clearly demonstrated its role in advising and providing feedback on policies by contributing opinions on many policies and legal documents related to environmental sanitation, solid waste management, the development of economic and technical standards, and the development of urban environmental services.
These contributions have helped to improve mechanisms and policies, creating a favorable legal framework for the operation of units within the industry.

The association focuses on enhancing the capacity of its members through scientific seminars, specialized forums, training courses, and experience sharing on management, technology application, and modernization of environmental services. Many advanced models and solutions in environmental sanitation, waste treatment, mechanization, and automation have been introduced and replicated in practice.
In recent years, the Association and its member organizations have gradually embraced new trends such as the circular economy, waste sorting at source, recycling, emission reduction, and digital transformation in the environmental sector, contributing to improved operational efficiency and competitiveness in the context of integration.

On this occasion, the Association awarded and honored outstanding collectives and individuals who have made significant positive contributions to the development of the Association and the urban environment sector over the past 30 years.
