Not only leaving his mark with unique works of art, he is also a "fire-bearer" for many generations of photography lovers in Dong Nai, contributing to enriching the local cultural and artistic life.

Dong Nai - the land of inspiration

Sharing about the opportunity to come to Dong Nai photography, artist Nguyen Van Thuong said: For many years, Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association has regularly coordinated with localities inside and outside the Southeast region to organize creative camps, art photography competitions, creating an environment for exchange, learning and promoting creativity for artists. Thanks to that, he has the opportunity to accompany the Dong Nai photography movement by participating in judging and evaluating art photography and travel photography competitions. "The dynamism, creativity and passion of Dong Nai artists have given me a lot of inspiration and motivation to continue creating, exploring new perspectives on the people and this land" - Mr. Thuong said.

According to artist Nguyen Van Thuong, Dong Nai is one of the localities with the strongest and most vibrant photography movement in the region. In particular, since the province's merger, the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association has pioneered the "Dong Nai Enters a New Era" Photo Contest, marking an important turning point, creating a big push for the local photography movement. This activity not only unites the artists but also inspires their creativity, urging them to explore and discover the beauty of their homeland through their lenses.

From that foundation, Dong Nai photographers have increasingly shown solidarity, proactively learned, and continuously produced many works of high artistic value. Many photos have gone beyond the local scope, winning prestigious awards at the provincial, regional, national and international levels, contributing to affirming the position of Dong Nai photography on the map of Vietnamese art.

Talking about the source of inspiration for his creations, artist Nguyen Van Thuong said: The diversity of the land and people of Dong Nai is what makes it special. “That is the advantage of geographical location with many places carrying their own stories such as Hoa Lu International Border Gate, Cat Tien National Park, Long Thanh International Airport along with the system of rivers, lakes, waterfalls, craft villages and industrial parks... And above all, the people of Dong Nai are dynamic and affectionate. Every smile, every look can become an emotional “frame” for artists to create” - Mr. Thuong confided.

Photographer NGUYEN VAN THUONG was born in 1969 in Bao Loc, Lam Dong. On his journey of artistic creation, he has won more than 100 domestic and international awards. In particular, he has organized many solo exhibitions in Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City... to promote and spread the image of the country and people of Vietnam.

Keep the fire of passion, desire for creativity and dedication

In addition to participating in judging awards, artist Nguyen Van Thuong regularly holds talks and exchanges creative experiences with young people. He expressed his trust and expectation that many young “photographers” in Dong Nai today are very dynamic, creative, dare to try new things and master technology.

According to artist Nguyen Van Thuong, a beautiful art photograph not only convinces viewers by its technique but also by the message and emotions it conveys. A work about Dong Nai must be able to “speak”, must tell a profound story about the people, life, culture and history of Dong Nai.

Therefore, to improve the quality and spread of art photography competitions, artist Nguyen Van Thuong believes that it is necessary to focus on two core factors: That is, creating an environment for exchange and learning through field trips and specialized competitions, helping artists have more creative materials and opportunities to exchange experiences. In addition, promoting the application of technology in promotion and communication, in order to bring works closer to the public.

Mr. Thuong said: "Combining art photography with tourism and culture will help Dong Nai's image spread more strongly to friends at home and abroad."

Faced with the strong development of digital technology and artificial intelligence, artist Nguyen Van Thuong affirmed: Dong Nai photography community needs to proactively grasp modern trends to enrich their creations. However, he also noted that although technology effectively supports artists, true values are still the core element, creating the soul and sustainable vitality for each work.
work.

From these concerns, artist Nguyen Van Thuong especially emphasized the role of the younger generation in inheriting and promoting the tradition of local photographic art. As a pioneer, he always hopes that young artists will continue his passion, preserve and spread the image of his homeland through each frame.

“Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association has been doing a good job of connecting and creating a creative playground for artists. I hope that artists will always maintain the flame of passion and work together to develop the photography movement more and more strongly. Let each photo not only be a work of art but also a deep gratitude to Dong Nai, where we live, create and contribute,” said Mr. Thuong.
