
At the landslide area in Ngoc Nang village, which has isolated more than 400 households in 5 villages for many days, Colonel Nguyen Khang Yen, Deputy Chief of Staff of the 34th Corps, and the working group directly crossed the subsidence points, surveyed the geological foundation, forecasted the landslide situation and met to discuss solutions.

The delegation agreed that in the short term, they will mobilize forces to open temporary roads so that people and students can travel by motorbike. In the long term, the locality will propose investing in building a solid bridge.

Colonel Nguyen Khang Yen said that to speed up the repair process, the unit has mobilized about 200 officers and soldiers along with 2 excavators of Division 10 (Army Corps 34) to the scene to participate in clearing the road. From November 2, this force will simultaneously deploy to fix the landslide with the spirit of urgency, to soon clear the road so that people can stabilize their lives.
As reported, Ngoc Linh Commune is a locality heavily affected by landslides, causing great damage to infrastructure and isolating about 400 households for many days now.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 31, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung inspected the work of overcoming the effects of floods and landslides, thereby directing the functional forces to coordinate with the authorities of Ngoc Linh commune to urgently provide relief and bring food to isolated villages; in the fastest time, there must be solutions to overcome landslides, solve travel problems for people, ensure learning conditions for children in the area...
