According to Ms. Le Thi Bich Thuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang, as soon as the floodwaters receded, the Department directed schools to mobilize local forces to urgently clean and disinfect classrooms, prevent epidemics and soon stabilize teaching and learning. At the same time, units organized visits and timely support to the families of teachers and students affected by floods.

At the meeting, Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training, sent his condolences and sympathies for the damage and loss caused by natural disasters, and at the same time acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive and responsible spirit of the Da Nang Education and Training sector in responding to and overcoming the consequences of floods.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the most important thing is to bring students back to school safely as soon as possible. We should not focus on formalities or rigid regulations, because just being able to go to class and have teachers and friends by our side is the most precious thing.

He suggested that the local education sector closely monitor weather developments and coordinate closely with relevant agencies to both overcome and prevent natural disasters, ensuring absolute safety for teachers and students. When teaching resumes, it is necessary to focus on cleaning classrooms, disinfecting, and providing psychological and spiritual support for teachers, students, and parents.

The Deputy Minister also requested units to implement flexible school year plans, not mechanically or hurriedly, to ensure smooth and effective teaching; at the same time, review and supplement facilities and teaching equipment to soon stabilize school operations.

At the meeting, the Ministry of Education and Training donated 750 million VND to support educational institutions and schools in Da Nang City to overcome damage caused by floods. Along with that, the Ministry also donated 125,000 textbooks worth 2.5 billion VND to students in flood-affected areas to help them stabilize their studies soon.
