Officers and soldiers urgently reinforced, transported materials, and rebuilt the breakwater system to prevent the risk of erosion and protect the safety of coastal residential areas.

At the previous meeting on disaster response and recovery, Colonel Tran Huu Ich, Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command, said that, implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Da Nang City Civil Defense Command, the military force took the lead in coordinating with relevant units to focus on overcoming two serious landslide locations including: the Cua Dai bridge dam area (Duy Nghia commune) and the An Bang coastal area.

Through field surveys, the An Bang area has three major landslides, eating deep into the shore, threatening many households and coastal structures. The Command has mobilized forces from Division 315 and two subordinate regiments to urgently deploy measures to reinforce the embankment, pack sandbags, and build temporary dikes to prevent further seawater erosion.
The recovery work is currently facing difficulties due to a lack of materials such as geotextiles and large sacks, while local sand resources are affected by high water levels and strong currents.
The Military Command also requested the leaders of Da Nang City to support additional materials and utilize local sand and soil resources to build emergency embankments, ensuring safety for residential areas and coastal works.
Local people volunteered to donate land and sand for reinforcement, contributing with the military and local authorities to quickly handle the dangerous situation.
