The Veterans Association of Dong Thai Commune is united, innovative, creative, and compassionate.

On October 31st, the Veterans Association of Dong Thai commune (An Giang province) held its 8th Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Tran Thien My, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association, attended and directed the congress.

The Standing Committee of the Dong Thai Commune Party Committee presented a congratulatory banner to the congress.

Contributing to the construction of new rural areas, during the period 2022-2025, the Veterans Association of Dong Thai commune, together with the local authorities, built 11km of flagpole fences according to regulations; installed 770 streetlights in rural areas; and constructed 2.7km of rural roads worth hundreds of millions of VND.

At the beginning of the term, the association had 11 poor households and 16 near-poor households; now, the number of poor households has decreased to 4, and near-poor households to 6; 124 member households have a relatively high or wealthy standard of living...

In the coming term, the Veterans Association of Dong Thai commune will continue to promote its important socio -political role, uphold and spread the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, foster unity, innovation, creativity, and camaraderie, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress and the development of the homeland.

Leaders of the An Giang Provincial Veterans Association and Dong Thai commune presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the Dong Thai Commune Veterans Association.

According to the decision announced at the congress, the Executive Committee of the An Giang Provincial Veterans Association appointed the Executive Committee of the Dong Thai Commune Veterans Association, 8th term, consisting of 15 members. Comrade Ngo Van Thong was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Dong Thai Commune Veterans Association.
