The landslide area is about 300m long and cannot be repaired immediately. In the urgent situation, the locality decided to open a small road across the landslide site, creating a way for relief goods to be carried inside. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, was present at the scene to direct the road opening work, urging the forces to urgently complete the work to soon transport relief food to the people; at the same time, encouraging people to live in peace, affirming that the province will always care, accompany and support people to overcome difficulties.

The team used hoes, shovels, and machetes to clear trees and level rocks to open the road. The working atmosphere was urgent, determined to quickly complete the temporary path and bring relief goods to the isolated area.

In the morning of the same day, trucks carrying relief goods from the Quang Ngai Department of Industry and Trade, including rice, instant noodles, water, clothes, cooking oil, fish sauce, etc., were transported to the landslide site, unloaded and ready to wait for the road to be cleared for people to carry back for distribution. By 9:30 a.m. the same day, people had access to relief goods and carried them home for use.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Man, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ngai, said that the department has assigned specialized units to continue collecting more food, groceries, and necessities from mobilized sources to provide timely supplies, so that people do not go hungry or cold.

In the landslide area, Mr. A Dua, Secretary of the Party Cell of Ngoc Nang village (Ngoc Linh commune) said that the village has more than 114 households that have been isolated for many days, and their lives are difficult due to lack of food and water. Now that the government has provided food, the people are very happy. These items are of great significance, helping people overcome difficult times.
