SABECO supports Nghe An with 500 million VND to overcome consequences after natural disasters

On the afternoon of October 31, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (SABECO) donated 500 million VND to support Nghe An province in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Lester Tan - General Director of SABECO , and members of the working delegation. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Duc Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and representatives of relevant departments and branches.

At the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Phu Hien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed that in 2025, Nghe An is one of the localities heavily affected by natural disasters with 3 major storms (No. 3, No. 5 and No. 10) causing estimated damage of more than 8,000 billion VND. Thousands of houses had their roofs blown off and landslides; hundreds of hectares of crops and aquatic products were swept away; traffic, electricity and water infrastructure systems in many areas were severely damaged....

Faced with that situation, the province has proactively mobilized all local resources to overcome the consequences, quickly stabilize people's lives, and restore production. In addition to the state budget, many organizations, businesses, and individuals inside and outside the province have joined hands to support, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love, contributing to helping Nghe An soon overcome difficulties.

At the ceremony, Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation (SABECO) donated 500 million VND to support Nghe An province to share the damage after the storm and flood, and accompany the government and people in the process of restoring production and stabilizing life.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Mr. Lester Tan - General Director of SABECO shared: “This support has a special meaning for us, because Nghe An is not only one of the localities that suffered heavy damage after the recent storm and flood, but also a place where many officers, employees, partners and member units of SABECO are attached. Factories and companies in Nghe An have made an important contribution to our development in the Central region. Therefore, SABECO feels deeply responsible in sharing and accompanying the people to overcome difficult times.”

SABECO's General Director also affirmed that this contribution demonstrates the company's social responsibility and commitment to stand side by side with the community, not only in production and business but also in activities for people and for the sustainable development of the country.

On behalf of Nghe An province's leaders, comrade Hoang Phu Hien sincerely thanked SABECO for its sentiments and responsibilities. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the province will direct relevant agencies to allocate support resources to the right beneficiaries, promptly and effectively, helping people in affected areas to stabilize their lives soon. At the same time, the provincial leaders wished SABECO to continue to develop strongly, continuing to be one of the typical enterprises with practical contributions to the overall development of the country.

Also within the framework of the ceremony, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province participated in activities in the "Heritage Journey" program series organized by SABECO on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of its establishment and development.
