The German Film Festival (KinoFest) will take place from October 30 to November 2. This year's film festival is part of a series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam.
This is the annual film festival of the Goethe-Institut in Southeast Asia for contemporary German cinema with outstanding films that will be introduced to the public in the capital within the framework of KinoFest 2025.
Selected from a rich selection of the latest German films, this year's programme offers a diverse range of films, ranging from dramas, family films, animations, adventures to documentaries - works that are both realistic and mystical, rich in creativity and imagination.

KinoFest 2025 promises to present films that are diverse in style and form, and that reflect many aspects of contemporary social reality in Germany. The selected films are suitable for all ages and encourage viewers to explore new perspectives through the lens of cinema.
In Hanoi , the opening ceremony will officially take place at 6:00 p.m. on October 30 at the National Cinema Center with the film “ Roter Himmel ” ( Red Sky ). The film has received many nominations and awards both in Germany and internationally, most notably the Silver Bear Award – the prestigious Grand Jury Prize at the Berlinale Film Festival 2023.
The following days the films: Everything belongs to me, Red sky, Underground, Niko and the adventure to the northern lights, Cologne 75, Greetings from Mars, Only at night can we be sad, Heroine, Home is a bunch of sour star fruit... will be shown.
