On October 29, the rising water level of the Tranh River caused flooding in many residential areas. In some households in the villages of Tam Tu, Tra Linh Tay, Thuan An... the water rose so quickly that people could not move in time. Many houses were flooded up to the roof. According to estimates, the entire Hiep Duc commune had about 410 flooded houses.
The traffic route from the commune center to the villages was deeply flooded, with 11 landslides along the route, making it difficult to access support and evacuate people.
