“In the past one or two weeks, there have been more visitors to Binh Lieu, especially on weekends. Our group of brothers working in tourism, photography, motorbike taxi, taxi… has more than 10 people, we cannot serve all the needs on weekends,” said Mr. Cuong.

According to this tour guide, the popular tour that visitors choose when coming to Binh Lieu usually lasts 2 days and 1 night, about 1.5-2 million VND, including expenses such as food, transportation, accommodation, and photography.

According to Mr. Cuong, visitors often depart early in the morning, then move to famous check-in points such as "reed flower paradise", "dinosaur spine", milestone 1305 in Hoanh Mo commune, Cao Xiem peak located in Luc Hon commune - known as the "roof" of Quang Ninh or milestone 1297 (in Kien Moc commune, Lang Son , can be moved from Binh Lieu direction).

“Tourists usually have to walk from 30 minutes to 2 hours to check-in points. The path is quite steep and about 1 meter wide. On weekends like this one, the crowds make it difficult to move around in many sections,” said Mr. Cuong.

Ngoc Hai, a tourist from Hanoi who traveled to Binh Lieu last weekend, shared that it took her nearly 2 hours to take some satisfactory photos because everywhere she stood, there were people.

“The reed grass is only beautiful for about 2-3 weeks, so everyone rushes to take pictures and visit, making the destinations almost full,” Hai said.

Not only reed flowers, Binh Lieu at this time is also brilliant with the golden color of ripe rice season mixed with the mist on the mountain slopes. According to Dinh Minh, a tourist from Hanoi, the reed flower season coincides with the rice season, so tourists can combine exploring many destinations in one trip.

“People can check in at border markers 1300, 1297, 1305 - the three most beautiful spots - or visit Luc Hon terraced fields, Khe Van waterfall, Cao Ly mountain, Cao Son flower garden,” said the male tourist.

Binh Lieu travel schedule

From his trip, Dinh Minh suggests a Binh Lieu travel itinerary for tourists departing from Hanoi:

Day 1 : The group departs early in the morning from Hanoi along the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh highway, exits the highway at Mui Chua, and travels another 30km to Binh Lieu town (old).

Tourists have lunch, in the afternoon visit Khe Van waterfall or terraced fields, then go to milestone 1297 to see reed flowers and watch the sunset.

Day 2 : Early morning climb landmark 1305 (takes about 3 hours round trip), then return to Hoanh Mo or Binh Lieu center for lunch and return to Hanoi.

Due to the short reed flower season, the number of visitors increases on weekends, so many hotels and homestays are often fully booked. Therefore, Dinh Minh advises tourists to arrange to come to Binh Lieu on weekdays to choose quality accommodation at affordable prices.

Paying more attention to the weather in Binh Lieu this season, Mr. Hoang Cuong said that the tourist attractions are all located quite high, so visitors should bring warm clothes in case the weather turns cold and freezing.
