Opening the program, Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu said that today's training course was organized to help tourism management officials at the Departments of Tourism, Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and cities update their knowledge, skills and the latest management tools after changes in two-level local government and administrative units.

Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu emphasized that Vietnam's tourism industry plays an important role in the country's economy, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and promoting Vietnam's image to the world. With changes in the organizational structure of local governments, the tourism industry needs to ensure that state management of tourism is carried out effectively, in order to create a sustainable, safe and professional tourism environment.
Today's training course not only helps trainees equip themselves with new knowledge and skills, but also creates opportunities to exchange experiences between units, contributing to building a team of professional civil servants capable of meeting the increasingly high demands in state management of tourism.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity for tourism management departments to exchange and propose contributions to improving the quality of state management of tourism, and recommendations to amend the Law on Tourism and related documents in 2026.

Deputy Director of Lam Dong Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Lan Ngoc spoke at the program
Ms. Nguyen Lan Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, shared that Lam Dong province was newly formed from the merger of three provinces: Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong. With the largest area in the country and the 10th largest economic scale in the country, Lam Dong is the place where the vast plateau, blue sea - white sand - golden sunshine and the center of thousands of flowers meet, creating a diverse tourism space and rich experiences for visitors.
In recent years, Vietnam’s tourism industry in general and Lam Dong tourism in particular have made strong progress, contributing positively to economic growth, creating jobs and improving people’s lives. Along with that, the requirements for service quality, professionalism and efficiency in state management are increasingly higher.

Therefore, organizing training courses and professional development courses like today is very important, aiming to help civil servants, public employees and workers in the industry update their knowledge, improve their professional skills, thereby complying with regulations, ensuring transparency and consistency in the process of appraisal, licensing of travel operations and issuing tour guide cards. At the same time, this is a forum to share practical experiences and exchange information between management agencies and tourism staff, thereby contributing to creating cohesion and accompanying each other in the journey of building a sustainable development of Vietnam's tourism industry.
Ms. Nguyen Lan Ngoc believes that through this training course, students will not only be equipped with professional knowledge, but also be given more positive energy and career inspiration, so that each person can continue to be a "cultural - tourism ambassador", contributing to spreading the beautiful image of the people and country of Vietnam to domestic and international tourists, thereby making Vietnamese tourism more professional, high-quality and sustainable.

By participating in the training course, trainees were provided with updated knowledge on the process, procedures, and criteria for assessing the issuance of travel service business licenses and tour guide cards, thereby helping trainees improve their ability to evaluate and appraise documents and ensure that the licensing process is carried out in accordance with regulations and effectively.
In addition, students were also trained to use the newly updated online tour management and tour guide management software. This software was built to modernize management work, creating favorable conditions for civil servants to be able to deploy appraisal, licensing and management of business and tour guide information quickly, accurately and effectively.
