VNPT and Quang Tri province sign cooperation agreement: New step for "Digital Quang Tri - Happy Society"

On October 29, 2025, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on digital transformation for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2035. This is an important milestone, affirming the determination of Quang Tri province in the journey of building digital government, digital economy and digital society, with VNPT as a strategic partner and comprehensive companion.

Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Tran Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the province, leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province; on the side of VNPT, there was Mr. To Dung Thai - Chairman of the Board of Members of VNPT Group, along with leaders of member units and VNPT Quang Tri.

Mr. Tran Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and Mr. To Dung Thai - Chairman of VNPT Group signed the Cooperation Agreement between the two sides.

According to the agreement, the two sides agreed to promote cooperation on four strategic pillars: digital infrastructure - digital government - digital economy - digital society. Regarding digital infrastructure, VNPT will continue to invest in expanding the 4G/5G fixed and mobile broadband network, developing data center infrastructure and cloud computing, ensuring smooth, safe and synchronous connections throughout the province.

In the field of digital government , VNPT cooperated with the province to deploy an Intelligent Operation Center (IOC), a shared data warehouse, integrating AI and Big Data into management and operations, towards a transparent, effective government that serves the people.

In the digital economy pillar , VNPT supports local businesses in transforming their operating models, promoting e-commerce, digital payments, smart tourism and digital agriculture, contributing to increasing productivity and competitiveness of Quang Tri's economy.

In the digital society , VNPT continues to promote the platforms that have been effectively deployed in the fields of education, healthcare, public administration and digital skills training for people, contributing to realizing the goal of "People-centered digital society".

100% of provincial and grassroots hospitals in Quang Tri are currently using the VNPT-HIS hospital management platform and have successfully deployed electronic medical records, helping to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment and smart medical management.

Schools from junior high school level and above in the province have deployed the vnEdu education management platform, in which schools have used electronic transcripts and electronic contact books to contribute to modernizing education management and closely connecting schools - parents - students.

In the field of digital government, VNPT has synchronously deployed a document management and administration system, electronic information portal, population data, electronic one-stop system, and management of civil servants and public employees, helping state management activities in Quang Tri become increasingly professional, transparent and effective.

At the signing ceremony, VNPT affirmed that it will mobilize all technological, financial and high-quality human resources, prioritizing the implementation of key projects such as building a provincial data warehouse, applying GenAI artificial intelligence in public administration, developing smart infrastructure and a comprehensive network security system.

In addition, VNPT donated 1 billion VND to Quang Tri province to support social security activities, demonstrating corporate responsibility and commitment to accompany the locality in sustainable development.
