Accordingly, at 12 noon on October 27, the cargo ship ND3464 owned by Mr. Pham Van Phuc in Cat Thanh town, Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province (old) and 4 crew members was on its way to Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh City for repairs when the engine died and drifted into the sea area of Tan Dinh village, Ninh Chau commune.
Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the Ninh Chau Commune Police and Military forces coordinated with the Border Guard Station and related forces to quickly approach and assist the crew members to safely reach shore, while also helping to anchor and secure assets, preventing the risk of oil spills (the ship had about 5,000 liters of oil for the journey).

At the ceremony, the leaders of Ninh Chau Commune People's Committee acknowledged and praised the bravery and fearlessness of the forces. Despite adverse weather conditions, the forces made efforts to successfully rescue and bring all crew members safely ashore.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Ninh Chau commune awarded certificates of merit to 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in rescue work for ships in distress at sea.
