Naval Region 3 soldiers braved the rain to supply food to people in flooded areas in the Central region.

Faced with complicated flood developments, on the morning of October 29, the Naval Region 3 Command mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers along with boats and specialized vehicles to heavily flooded areas in Hue and Da Nang to rescue people.

Naval Region 3 forces used boats to transport supplies to reach people in flooded areas in the Central region.

As soon as they arrived at the scene, the navy coordinated with local authorities and functional forces to classify and package necessities including instant noodles, bread, dry food, drinking water, canned meat, military medicine, etc. to supply people isolated in the flooded area.

Many places were deeply flooded in Hoi An ward, Phu Xuan ward ( Da Nang ), the Navy had to use boats to approach the people.

At many locations such as Thanh Nam residential group (Hoi An ward, Da Nang) or Phu Xuan 2, 3 village (Hoa Tien, Da Nang), the water level in some places was more than 3 meters high, the strong current made access difficult. Officers and soldiers had to use small boats to transport goods, hand them over to the residential group leaders to distribute to each household, ensuring that no one went hungry or cold.

In addition, Naval Region 3 also coordinated to put up warning signs at landslide sites, warn people not to go through dangerous areas, and support the evacuation of households from areas at risk of unsafety.
