According to the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My, the rain that lasted from the evening of October 28 to the morning of October 29 caused the water level of Truong River and Nuoc Oa River flowing through Tra My and Tra Tan communes to rise, cutting off traffic and isolating many residential areas.

In Tan Hiep village (Tra My commune), rising water isolated 8 households with more than 40 people for many hours without evacuation.

Commanding the forces to help people in vulnerable areas, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hau, Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My, arrived at the scene to grasp the situation and mobilize support forces.

Along with that, the unit transported more than 30 boxes of instant noodles, dry food, and drinking water to support isolated households.

Assessing that with the strong flood water, carrying many trees and garbage from the mountains, the possibility of using aluminum boats and motorboats would be unsafe, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hau proposed that the locality ask private enterprises to support flycams to bring relief goods to the people.

Meanwhile, in Tran Duong village (Tra My commune), rising river water flooded a major road with a length of nearly 500m, in some places more than 1.5m deep, seriously affecting the lives and activities of hundreds of households.

Thanks to the proactive "4 on-the-spot" motto, soldiers, militia, and police supported people in flooded areas to evacuate to safety; helped households in deeply flooded areas to raise their properties.
