Not only bringing necessities to the local people, Dong Nai Police force also brought affection, responsibility and spirit of "Serving the people", standing side by side with people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and rebuild their lives after the floods.
Join hands for flood victims
As soon as the Provincial Police issued a plan to mobilize support for people affected by floods, a series of relief goods receiving points were opened in key areas. From the morning of November 23, police in many wards such as Tran Bien, Tam Hiep, Long Binh, Trang Dai, Ho Nai, Long Hung, Phuoc Tan, Tam Phuoc... arranged forces on duty to receive each box of instant noodles, bags of rice, and cartons of milk that people brought to support.
The atmosphere at the receiving points was somewhat busy and hurried but contained an extremely warm atmosphere. Some brought a few kilos of rice, others boxes of noodles, cartons of milk; some businesses brought even truckloads of necessities. All had the same wish: to share the hardships of the people of the Central Highlands.

Captain Phan Hoang Su, an officer of Tran Bien Ward Police, said: When there was a plan to receive goods to donate to people in flood-hit areas, the ward police officers immediately cleared the location to receive and arrange the goods to ensure they were safe. After only one day of opening, the Tran Bien Ward Police headquarters was almost full.
According to Captain Phan Hoang Su, although the workload is quite large and the officers and soldiers receiving it are also difficult, but thinking of the people struggling with the flood and needing everyone's help, the officers and soldiers almost do not feel tired but are happy to contribute their small efforts to the people in difficulty.
This spirit of mutual love not only demonstrates the responsibility of Dong Nai Police officers but also connects and bridges the affection between Dong Nai police officers and people with the flood victims. Not only mobilizing the people, police officers across the province also voluntarily contribute funds and essential supplies to the victims.
Rebuilding life with people after the flood
Faced with the urgency of helping people in the Central Highlands provinces overcome difficulties in the recent historic flood, the Provincial Police immediately deployed officers and vehicles to Dak Lak province to help people there.
On November 28, Dong Nai Provincial Police held a dispatch ceremony (phase 3) to increase forces and equipment to support localities suffering heavy damage due to prolonged floods in the Central and Central Highlands provinces. This time, more than 120 officers and soldiers participated in the working group.
According to Colonel NGUYEN ANH HUNG, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Dong Nai Provincial Police will continue to maintain forces at the scene until the flood situation is controlled and people's lives return to normal.
Accordingly, on November 22, the Provincial Police mobilized 16 officers and soldiers along with canoes to the deeply flooded areas in the communes and wards of Dak Lak province for rescue. Thereby, many people trapped in floodwaters were brought to safety by officers and soldiers.
On November 23, the Provincial Police organized a second working group with 115 officers and soldiers directly present in Tuy Hoa ward (Dak Lak province) to support people in cleaning up and overcoming the consequences after the historic flood.
Speaking at the ceremony to assign tasks to officers and soldiers, Colonel Nguyen Phuong Dang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, emphasized: With the spirit of "sharing the sweet and the bitter", "mutual love" and the tradition of "Serving the people" of the People's Police Force, the Dong Nai Provincial Police continue to set out on the mission of supporting the people and local authorities of Dak Lak province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. This is not only a task but also a political and humanitarian responsibility and the highest expression of comradeship and solidarity.
Colonel Nguyen Phuong Dang said: This special working trip aims to demonstrate the deep concern and timeliness of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Dong Nai Provincial Police for the difficulties and losses of people in the disaster-stricken areas. Thereby, directly providing material and spiritual support, helping people to soon stabilize their lives and overcome the most difficult period after the storm and flood.
Directly participating in helping people clean up their houses, schools, clear mud, and clean the environment, Captain Nguyen Huu Linh, an officer of the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of the Provincial Police, shared: Being present in the localities affected by the flood, we can see how difficult people's lives are. Almost all assets were lost after the flood. Many families had to start over.
Captain Nguyen Huu Linh said: During the days here, the officers and soldiers took advantage of every moment to help people clean up everything. Among them were schools and residential areas still submerged in mud. Many roads were strewn with trees and belongings after the flood.
"We do anything as long as it helps people here stabilize their lives soon" - Captain Nguyen Huu Linh expressed.
Captain Thai Ngo Hieu, an officer of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police, said: When they arrived at Tuy Hoa Ward, the officers and soldiers of the Dong Nai Provincial Police immediately started cleaning up. Many areas where the water had just receded revealed a thick layer of mud, furniture was scattered, and people's lives were completely turned upside down. Faced with that scene, each officer and soldier only hoped to contribute a little bit so that people could soon return to normal life.
The image of Dong Nai Provincial Police officers rolling up their pants and wading through the mud, carrying planks, garbage bags, pulling large logs, or carefully reassembling household items for people moved many people. In the midst of those difficult days, the hustle and bustle of each police officer became an impressive image, sending warmth to the people in the flooded areas.
From the relief shipments, the convoys of vehicles heading towards the flood to the muddy hands during the days of standing side by side with the people to overcome the consequences, the image of the officers and soldiers of Dong Nai Police has left a deep impression in the hearts of the people in the flood areas. It is the sharing, the humanity, the spirit of "Serving the people".
