In the preliminary round last weekend, 220 workers from various localities registered to participate; as a result, more than 100 qualified workers were selected to complete exit procedures to Korea for seasonal work in the coming time.
Notably, in this batch, many people who used to work in Korea returned and now continue to register for the new batch, showing the clear effectiveness of this program.
With the policy of expanding labor links with foreign markets, many highland communes have proactively selected and sent hundreds of workers to Korea for seasonal work, opening up a sustainable way out of poverty for the people.
Since the beginning of the year, Nam Tra My, Tra Leng, Tra Linh, Tra Van and Tra Tap communes have sent more than 150 workers to South Korea for temporary work. These results stem from the close cooperation between the highland localities and Hamyang District, Gyeongsangnam Province (South Korea).
Through the program, each year hundreds of workers have the opportunity to access a modern working environment, practice skills and improve their quality of life.
According to Mr. Vo Nhu Son, Vice Chairman of Nam Tra My Commune People's Committee, the program of sending workers to work in Korea is one of the locality's key solutions in the sustainable poverty reduction strategy, while creating a driving force to promote socio -economic development.
