9 teenagers detained for disturbing public order

ĐNO - On the afternoon of November 30, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police announced that it had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and executed an order to temporarily detain 9 teenagers for the crime of "Disturbing public order". These are the subjects related to the gathering with weapons and driving at high speed, causing disorder in Thanh Khe ward in the early morning of November 23, 2025.

The defendants include: Nguyen Hoang Phuc Huy (born in 2007, residing in Hoa Khanh ward), Nguyen Van Diem (born in 2007, residing in Lien Chieu ward), Tran Van Truong (born in 2006, residing in Lien Chieu ward), Pham Minh Hoang (born in 2009, residing in Lien Chieu ward), Nguyen Thanh Dat (born in 2008, residing in An Khe ward), Phan Van Tuan Anh (born in 2009, residing in An Khe ward), Phan Nguyen Quoc Huy (born in 2009, residing in Hoa Khanh ward), Le Nguyen Thanh Dat (born in 2008, residing in Hoa Khanh ward) and Truong Gia Bao (born in 2009, residing in Hoa Khanh ward).

According to the investigation results, from the conflict on TikTok between Tran Ai Quoc (born 2010) and the group calling itself "Hoa Chau LMT", Quoc invited Nguyen Hoang Minh Hieu (born 2010) and many of his peers to participate in "resolving the conflict".

This group gathered dozens of teenagers in the areas of Lien Chieu, Hoa Khanh, An Khe, Thanh Khe wards..., prepared homemade knives, iron pipes with three-pronged tips, pepper spray and many motorbikes with removed license plates.

On the evening of November 22, the group gathered at Au Co Street and the Cultural House of An Ngai Tay 2 Village (Hoa Khanh Ward) to gather forces. Then, they divided into many vehicles carrying weapons, drove at high speed, weaving and swerving through Me Linh, Nguyen Luong Bang, Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Sinh Sac, Dien Bien Phu, Le Duan, Tran Phu and 2/9 Street, endangering pedestrians.

While searching for their opponents, the group mistakenly chased the car of Nguyen Viet Quoc Vuong (born 2012) and Le Nguyen Thanh Dat (born 2008). When they realized their mistake, they did not stop but invited the two teenagers to join their group and continued to roam the streets with weapons looking for people to fight.

Unable to find the "Hoa Chau LMT" group, the group returned to Hoa Khanh area, divided up to hide homemade knives, pitchforks and pepper spray to avoid responsibility.

After investigating, the police seized evidence including: 8 motorbikes (many with their license plates removed), 1 2.8 meter long metal tube with three sharp ends, 1 3.2 meter long homemade knife, 1 4.6 meter long iron tube, 3 various homemade knives and 1 black pepper spray.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department is continuing to expand the investigation, clarifying the role of the remaining subjects to strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.
