Bac Ninh: Providing livelihoods and supporting women members in difficult circumstances

BAC NINH - On the afternoon of December 1, the Women's Union of Tan Yen commune organized a donation of livelihoods and cash to support members in difficult circumstances and children with congenital heart disease in the area. Attending the event were leaders of the Provincial Women's Union and leaders of Tan Yen commune.

Leaders of the Provincial Women's Union, leaders of Tan Yen commune and the Commune Women's Union presented livelihood support to poor female members.

This is an activity organized with the aim of helping poor and near-poor households have more conditions and means for production and business, thereby rising up to develop the economy and soon escape poverty. Specifically, the Commune Women's Union coordinated with the Economic Department of Tan Yen Commune to donate livelihoods including 3,600 breeding chickens and 7.2 tons of chicken bran, worth more than 235 million VND (funds taken from the local National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction) to 20 poor and near-poor women members. In addition, the Union donated more than 100 million VND to 2 families of members with serious illnesses and members with children with congenital heart disease; this fund was called for by the Commune Women's Union's members' contributions and support.

These are practical activities to celebrate the success of the 1st Congress of Women's Delegates of Bac Ninh province, term 2025 - 2030. At the same time, they contribute to the implementation of the "5 no 3 clean" campaign and carry out social security work under the criteria of "3 safe" (safety, peace of mind, social security).
